![]() ![]() Please note that for the guide, I type the names of buildings or resources without accents or special symbols for ease of editing and writing. The first three settlements (the Viking, Feudal Japan, and Egyptian settlements) are unlocked with the Iron Age technology “Plowing,” but the fifth settlement (Mughals) is unlocked with the Late Middle Ages technology "Higher Education," and the fourth settlement (Aztecs) is unlocked with the Colonial Age technology “Colonies." You can only play one settlement at a time. ![]() Currently, the Viking, Feudal Japan, Egyptian, Aztec, and Mughal settlements are available. Also, I'm assuming you know how to place, sell, and move buildings, as well as how to buy expansions. I am writing this with the assumption that you have read and understood the announcements ( Vikings, Feudal Japan, Egyptians, Aztecs, Mughals). The player builds a small village associated with this feature and receives rewards based on their performance. ![]() Settlements take one aspect of the game (including city building, negotiating, and fighting) and amplify it. I made it more difficult for myself by using auto battle with all the unattached units on day 1, otherwise I might have gotten a better start and finished a day or two earlier.Īll in all it feels slower than the other settlements but it is quite enjoyable.Introduction to the Cultural Settlements GuideĬultural Settlements are a recent feature that has added a new way to play Forge of Empires. Instead you just have to delete goods buildings to get the diplomacy needed down for the next unlock before rebuilding new goods buildings. Now that the roads cost settlement currency I kept those roads safer than my military units. They somewhat successfully nerfed the strat of deleting all your roads and building single square decorations for diplomacy which I have used in both the viking and Japanese settlements and I'm actually giving them praise for that. It felt slower than the other settlements but despite being frustrated at the start, in the end it wasn't too difficult. For context I'm someone who only maybe once or twice didn't get the best reward in the viking settlements. I went in completely blind and I'm finishing the first Egyptian settlement tomorrow with 6 days remaining, using all different units with no diamonds spent. ![]()
